Cushions
Our floor cushions have been designed to create either a unique and eye-catching focal point or a beautiful accent statement to any room. Measuring 0.91m x 0.91m (3ft x 3ft), these sheepskin floor cushions are the grown-up alternative to bean bags. All floor cushions are created with a sheepskin front panel, 100% calico cotton backing with easy-to-use velcro fastening and an internal cushion stuffed with wool/sheepskin. What’s more, the front panel design of each cushion is totally unique ensuring that the one you buy is exclusive to you.

Single and double sheepskins fit comfortably in standard British washing machines, while treble fleeces may fit into larger machines. Use the coolest ‘woollens’ settings – an absolute maximum temperature of 40, preferably 30 degrees – and add just a teaspoon of mild, non-biological detergent. It is beneficial to also add some fabric conditioner. Lightly spin the rug and then allow to dry naturally, away from direct heat. Flexing the sheepskin as it dries will help to maintain its suppleness.
If hand washing, use warm water (not hot), and again use just a teaspoon of mild, non-biological detergent. Add some fabric conditioner to the rinse water. Gently squeeze out excess water, carefully pull the rug back into shape, then hang to dry away from direct heat. Flexing the sheepskin as it dries will help to maintain its suppleness.
Carefully brush the wool with a wire dog brush once when damp and again when dry, to maintain the silky soft texture of the rug.
All our sheepskins can be dry-cleaned. Most high street dry-cleaners should be able to offer this service or you could always make use of our own dry cleaning and refinishing service. It will make your old sheepskin rugs look like new. We are happy to offer this service on all sheepskins - not just those obtained from British Sheepskins. Please contact us for details.
